Stop #3 - Rushmore KOA, SD
They got Jobs! Made some friends, and said goodbye to those friends. (August 5th – Sept 8th)

Rolling into South Dakota Will and Bob found out how very little they knew about America… Who knew Mount Rushmore and the Badlands could be found here?;) Definitely not them, apparently they’re morons. Anyway, upon arrival Will and Bob found themselves overwhelmed with the endless possibility of things to climb, so they decided to get jobs and hunker down for a while.
Working registration and washing dishes at the second largest RV campground in America: The Mount Rushmore KOA at Palmer Gulch Resort. Perks of the job included a VIP pass for almost all tourist attractions in the Black Hills, a gravel lot within the campground with running water and electricity, easy access to just about every climbing area, and the opportunity to make friends from all over the world.
During their month long stay at the KOA, Will and Bob found themselves: doing their first multi-pitch climb, deep-water soloing, cliff jumping, projecting 5.13’s, hiking to the highest spot in SD, teaching themselves traditional climbing, mountain biking, partying with coworkers, and building lasting relationships and memories.
